An air conditioning installation in Slough, with Daikin wall-mounted split systems fitted across multiple rooms and the outdoor units sited out of the way at the side and rear of the buildings.
Each indoor unit is mounted high on the wall where the air has a clear run into the room and nothing obstructs the throw. These rooms were already decorated and in use, so the pipework had to be taken back through the wall behind each unit rather than boxed in, which is the fiddly part of retrofitting into a finished building instead of a shell. There is no trunking on show in any of the rooms.
Outside, the condensers are on wall brackets that hold them clear of the ground, with a rotary isolator fitted next to each one so an engineer can make the unit safe on the spot rather than going back to the consumer unit. The systems run on R32.
Splitting the job into separate systems rather than running everything off one outdoor unit means each room holds its own temperature independently, and a fault on one never takes the others out.
