Made to Measure Counter Fridge & Air-Con Installation For a Restaurant in Fulham
At Be Cool Refrigeration, we were commissioned to install a custom-made counter fridge and air-conditioning system for a high-end restaurant in Fulham. This project involved creating a bespoke refrigeration unit that would seamlessly integrate into the kitchen’s limited space, along with an efficient air-conditioning solution to ensure a comfortable dining experience.
Project Scope
The primary focus of the project was on two aspects:
- Counter Fridge Installation: The restaurant needed a counter fridge that would fit perfectly into their kitchen layout, offering ample cold storage without sacrificing workspace.
- Air-Conditioning Installation: The dining area required air-conditioning units capable of maintaining a pleasant atmosphere during peak hours, particularly during the busy summer months.
Challenges Faced

- Ventilation Restrictions: In older buildings like this one in Fulham, we encountered limited ventilation options for the air-conditioning unit’s exhaust system, which needed to be addressed to ensure proper cooling without disrupting airflow.
How We Overcame These Challenges:
- Customised Design: We collaborated closely with the kitchen designers to construct a custom counter fridge that fit exactly under the counter. This entailed constructing the unit to particular dimensions and ensuring that it had enough space for food storage.
- Improved Electrical Infrastructure: Our engineers conducted a thorough examination of the restaurant’s power requirements and upgraded the electrical infrastructure as needed, ensuring that the new equipment worked seamlessly alongside the existing appliances.
- Effective Air-Conditioning Installation: To solve ventilation constraints, we chose a split air-conditioning system, which allowed us to position the condenser unit discreetly outside. This ensured efficient cooling within the restaurant without compromising the overall appearance and comfort of the eating experience.
