What Is an Air-Conditioning Heat Pump?

An air-conditioning (air-to-air) heat pump is a reversible “fridge in disguise.” In winter it extracts latent heat from outside air, even at –10 °C and pushes it indoors. In summer, the cycle flips to pull warm air out, acting like an AC unit.
